Doug Pederson

  • People around the league are reportedly eyeing the Jaguars as a candidate to shake up their coaching staff midseason if their struggles continue. (NFLTR)

  • The catch is that the Jaguars’ offensive coaching staff is constructed in a way that makes it difficult to change things up without sabotaging the rest of the season.

  • Jaguars HC Doug Pederson is the architect of the offense but OC Press Taylor is believed to be the primary play-caller.

Christian McCaffrey

  • The 49ers believe they'll have RB Christian McCaffrey back in the lineup no later than early November as he continues to work through Achilles tendonitis. (NFLTR)

  • McCaffrey's trip to Germany to see a specialist about the lingering injury went well, with the veteran back getting something similar to a PRP treatment.

Injuries:

  • The Colts hope QB Anthony Richardson misses "very little or no game action" after leaving Sunday's win over the Steelers with a hip pointer. (NFLTR)

  • Chiefs WR Rashee Rice is feared to have suffered a torn ACL. (NFLTR)

  • Packers HC Matt LaFleur said WR Christian Watson is dealing with “just a sprain” after speaking with the WR: “I have talked to Christian and he told me he thought it was just a sprain.” (NFLTR)

  • Saints HC Dennis Allen said TE Taysom Hill suffered another rib injury. (NFLTR)

  • Cowboys DE Demarcus Lawrence is dealing with a Lisfranc injury to his right foot but because the bones were not displaced, he will not require surgery. (NFLTR)

  • Aaron Rodgers came up limping at the end of the game. The veteran QB said he was "banged up a little bit” after the game. (NFLTR)

  • Eagles RT Lane Johnson was ruled out of Week 4's game against the Buccaneers after not passing the concussion protocol. (NFLTR)

Buzz:

  • The Cowboys have reportedly started doing some homework on potential external additions at pass rusher following a rash of injuries. (NFLTR)

  • Following an offseason of contract disputes, Bengals WR Ja'Marr Chase is happy to shift all his focus to his on-field performance. (NFLTR)

  • The Vikings plan to open the practice window for TE T.J. Hockenson soon, with the goal of having him back in either Week 8 or Week 9. (NFLTR)

  • The Browns plan to open the practice window for RB Nick Chubb this coming week once he's eligible. (NFLTR)
