• 49ers RB Christian McCaffrey is set to visit a specialist in Germany about his lingering Achilles tendonitis issue.

• McCaffrey originally had a calf injury but the issue has evolved to the point where the team and the veteran running back are exploring all options to get him on track to return this season.
