NFLTR Insider: Mock Draft, Smith, Barrett, Jets, Lance, Olave
Mock Draft
NFLTR’s Ethan Woodie dropped his latest 2025 NFL Mock Draft on Thanksgiving.
Arthur Smith
Steelers OC Arthur Smith has reportedly drawn interest from the University of North Carolina, who reached out for a "preliminary call" about their head coaching vacancy.
However, Smith says he’s happy in Pittsburgh and coaching in the NFL.
Shaq Barrett
Veteran DE Shaq Barrett made the decision to come out of retirement earlier in the week. However, the Dolphins ultimately decided not to activate him.
Miami will not release Barrett and this officially ends his 2024 season.
Jets
NFL chief football administrative officer Dawn Aponte is a name to keep in mind for the Jets' general manager vacancy.
Aponte's strengths are in leadership which offset her lack of a scouting or personnel background, and it’s possible she could be paired with a more traditional scouting exec who could be more hands-on with the roster.
