Packers GM Brian Gutekunst told reporters on Monday that QB Jordan Love is not going to practice until the two sides finalize a contract extension.
Love's agents informed Gutekunst of the plan on Saturday and the GM said he understands their approach. Gutekunst added he believes the two sides are close.

Bengals owner Mike Brown said they plan to try to extend WR Ja'Marr Chase on a long-term deal at some point. Brown called Chase Cincinnati’s No. 2 priority behind only QB Joe Burrow.
Fellow Bengals WR Tee Higgins is still looking for a long-term deal as well, but it seems likely Cincinnati will hold him for at least one more year.

During the combine, the Vikings inquired about Chargers QB Justin Herbert's availability while doing their due diligence on replacements for former QB Kirk Cousins. Minnesota was reportedly wary about matching the Falcons' offer to Cousins and they didn't want to lose the potential flexibility of having a quality starting quarterback on a rookie contract.
