HC Rumors

  • The Bears are expected to try and make a run at hiring Lions OC Ben Johnson, though it remains to be seen if they can convince him to leave Detroit. (NFLTR)

  • There remains widespread expectation in Jacksonville that HC Doug Pederson and perhaps GM Trent Baalke will both be fired after this season. (NFLTR)

  • Regarding rumors raised by former Browns GM Michael Lombardi that he might retire at the end of this season, Buccaneers HC Todd Bowles responded "definitely not." (NFLTR)

  • People around the league are monitoring the Raiders as a potential head coaching vacancy this cycle. (NFLTR)

De'Vondre Campbell

  • 49ers HC Kyle Shanahan said veteran LB De'Vondre Campbell refused to play when he was asked to go back into Thursday's game against the Rams in the third quarter.

  • 49ers LB Dre Greenlaw had to leave with Achilles and knee soreness so Campbell was asked to take over.

Garett Bolles

  • The Broncos have agreed to a four-year contract extension with LT Garett Bolles.
