Kirk Cousins

• The Falcons went with rookie QB Michael Penix on Sunday and got the win along with some help from the Cowboys.

• At this point, the most likely option is for the Falcons end up releasing veteran QB Kirk Cousins this offseason.

Sam Darnold

• Vikings QB Sam Darnold is in line to be one of the best available free agents next year, which sets up an interesting situation for Minnesota.

• There's reportedly a leaguewide belief that the Vikings are hopeful they will be able to keep Darnold in 2025 and will make an effort to re-sign him. 

Jerod Mayo

• There has been some buzz about whether Patriots HC Jerod Mayo will be back with the team in 2024.

• However, a report from Sunday mentioned that the Patriots do not plan to fire Mayo after this season, barring a total collapse down the stretch.

Ben Johnson

• Lions OC Ben Johnson is widely considered to be one of, if not, the top head coaching candidates again this offseason.

• Johnson is reportedly intrigued by the Bears’ head coaching job and he'll be willing to listen if they're interested this offseason.
