NFLTR Insider: 0-2 Teams, Young, Kupp, Deebo, Pacheco, Buzz

0-2 Teams

  • It gets late early in the NFL. While the season may be 17 games, history says teams that start 0-2 have just a 10 percent chance of rebounding and making the playoffs. Week 2 may not be a knockout round — but it’s close. 

  • Last year there were nine teams that lost both games to start the season. Only one — the Houston Texans — rebounded to make the postseason.

  • NFLTR’s Logan Ulrich takes a look at the teams that have started 0-2 in 2024.

Bryce Young

  • The Panthers made the decision to bench QB Bryce Young and start veteran Andy Dalton in Week 3 against the Raiders. (NFLTR)

  • It's been a nightmare start to the 2024 season for the Panthers and the former No. 1 pick looks like he's regressed.

Cooper Kupp

  • Rams coach Sean McVay told reporters on Monday that WR Cooper Kupp is going to be out an “extended period of time” with an ankle injury. (NFLTR)

  • McVay added that injured reserve is a possibility for Kupp, which would cost him the next four games and possibly more.

Buzz:

  • Cowboys EDGE Micah Parsons is confident he'll have a contract extension finalized in Dallas. (NFLTR)

  • Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence believes everyone on the team needs to be held accountable after the team’s Week 2 loss. (NFLTR)

  • Bears QB Caleb Williams said he expects to be sore after he was sacked seven times in his first career loss on Sunday night.  (NFLTR)

  • The suspensions for Rams QB Jimmy Garoppolo and LT Alaric Jackson have been lifted. (NFLTR)

  • Giants worked out four kickers on Monday. (NFLTR)

Injuries:

  • Broncos RT Mike McGlinchey suffered a significant MCL sprain. (NFLTR)

  • Chiefs RB Isiah Pacheco is expected to miss six to eight weeks with his fibula injury. (NFLTR)

  • 49ers WR Deebo Samuel suffered a calf strain and is expected to miss a few weeks. (NFLTR)

  • Eagles WR A.J. Brown said he expects to miss a couple weeks with his hamstring injury. (NFLTR)

  • Patriots LB Ja'Whaun Bentley is expected to miss the rest of the season with a torn pectoral muscle. (NFLTR)

  • Rams G Jonah Jackson suffered a fractured scapula. (NFLTR)

  • The Jets have confirmed DE Jermaine Johnson tore his Achilles in Week 2.  (NFLTR)

  • Giants K Graham Gano will miss a few weeks due to a hamstring injury. (NFLTR)

  • Browns HC Kevin Stefanski says WR David Bell suffered a dislocated hip. (NFLTR)
